Carlos Rene Guerra, age 54, of Hammond, entered into the gates of heaven on Wednesday, October 18th, 2017. Carlos is survived by his wife of 30 years; Heather Joy Guerra; his four children; Monique Guerra, Rene Guerra, Lena Guerra and Carlos Guerra Jr.; ten loving grandchildren: Maria, Angel, Mariana, Annalise, Milani, Carla, Carlos, Malina, Fernando and Araceli, as well as three sisters: Eliza (George), Natalie (John), Maria (Steve); three brothers: Elias, Orlando (Cynthia), Kenneth and numerous nieces and nephews. Awaiting him in heaven, his mother Maria Guerra, Grandson Mikey and brother Ricardo.

Friends and family members are invited to attend a visitation for Carlos, which will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Burial will be private. Carlos was born on March 24, 1963 in East Chicago, IN where he was raised until his teenage years, then moving to  Hammond, IN. Carlos had attended Morton High School for his education. He was an excellent auto mechanic and truly loved working on cars and Harley’s. His hobbies included listening to music and watching car shows on T.V. Carlos was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and uncle who has left behind a legacy of love and devotion for his family.
