Clyde David Phillippe, age 77, of Hammond was called into the
presence of his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 8, 2017.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, June C. Phillippe
(Nee Williamson); two children: Lisa L. Rouse and Carl D.
Phillippe; three grandchildren: Nicolaus D., Erika R., and Jacob P.
Rouse; four siblings: Bob (Annette) Phillippe, James (Nell)
Phillippe, Sally (Ed) Borman, Randy (Steve) Phillippe; many
loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Clyde W. and Bertha Iona Phillippe.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 10
a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Ave. Hammond
(Hessville) with Pastor Ed Cunningham officiating. Burial will
follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville. Friends are invited
to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Sunday, March
12, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Clyde was born in Bicknell IN on July 7, 1939 and has been a
long time resident of the Hessville area. He was retired from
American National Can Company of Hammond as a painter. He
was a true sportsman as well as a talented woodworker. Clyde was a
longtime faithful member of Terrace Park Church of God where he
served as a greeter. He was a proud US Navy veteran having
served on the USS Vesole 878. Clyde will be remembered for his
wonderful sense of humor and his faithfulness as a loving husband,
father and friend.
