Gisela Conner, age 79, of Hammond, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 10, 2017.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, J.W. Conner; 3 Children: Donna (Steven) Ladd, Brian (Debbie) Conner and Jeff (Christine) Conner; 7 Grandchildren: Stephanie (Casey) DeMoss, Tim (Danielle) Ladd, Eric (Emily) Conner, Adam (Silvia) Conner, Jessica (Nick) Planer, Justin Conner, Tyler Conner; 6 great grandchildren: Jack DeMoss, Mason Ladd, Peyton and Owen Conner and Carson and Dylan Planer; one brother John (Jill) Domazet; several nieces, nephews and dear friends including special friend Betty (Ken) Pribble.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Stephan (Katharina) Domazet and one brother Joachim Tak.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday April 13 , 2017 at 10 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Rev. Don Rector officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond.
Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Bocken Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Grace was born in Germany in 1937 and came to the USA at age 13. She married the love of her life in 1955 and has spent the last 56 years in Hessville. Grace was a former member Hessville Baptist Church and currently a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting blankets and many baby items. Grace was a loving wife, mother, sister and dear grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was known to many as grandma Grace. In lieu of flower memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
