James Albert Marshall, age 73, of Hammond, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, October 18, 2017.
He is survived by his wife: Rita Anne Marshall; children: James Albert Marshall Jr., David Charles (Angela) Marshall, Sandra (Dan) Thompson, Susan Tessmann, Robert (Penny) Morris, Bill (Julie) Morris; grandchildren: David Charles Marshall Jr., Jacob Alexander Marshall, Jeremy Tessmann and numerous others; numerous great grandchildren; Sister, Joanne (Bradley) Everson and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Albert James and Doris Ann Marshall, brother, John Francis Marshall and sister, Judith Ann Jones.

Friends are invited to meet with the family for visitation at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Ave. Hammond (Hessville) on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.. Burial will be private. Jim was born and raised in Chicago and a longtime resident of Calumet City and for the past 14 years of Hammond. He retired from Transport Services after many years of service as a truck driver. Jim was a member of Masonic lodge 995 and the Teamsters Union local 705. He was a proud navy veteran and enjoyed reading and listening to books. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a dear friend who will be greatly missed.  Memorials to the Ann and Robert H.
