JoAnne Brezinski, age 77, of Highland formerly of East Chicago, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.

She is survived by her children: Julie (Jay) Rizzo of St. John, IN, Jennifer (Don) Basco of Dyer, IN, Steven Brezinski of Hammond, IN, Janine (Rick) Janecek of West Alexandria, OH

Jackie (Bobby) Slaven of Highland, IN

Grandchildren: JT and John Rizzo of St. John Nick and Ben Bacso of Dyer

Payton, Kylie and Kelsie of Highland

Samantha, Jessica, Heather, McKenzie and Noah of West Alexandria, OH

Aleysha, Trent, Jake and Justin of Highland

2 Sisters: Jeanette Nolan of Orlando, FL and Rose Plesha of Highland, IN

2 Brothers: Rich Plesha of St. John and Jerry Plesha of Washington

Numerous Nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steve Brezinski; parents, Joseph and Mary Plesha.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

There will be a Prayer Service at 3:00 p.m. with Deacon Michael Halas officiating.  

JoAnne was born and raised in East Chicago and was a 1958 graduate of East Chicago Washington High School. JoAnne cherished her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed.
