Michael Clayton Perkins Jr., age 33, of Hammond was called into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.
He is survived by his son: Colin Michael Perkins; mother: Marsha Lyn (William) Sorge; father: Michael Clayton (Debbie) Perkins Sr.; Grandfathers: Donald Perkins and James Hastings Jr.; two half brothers: Jason Michael (Renee) Perkins and Derrick (Candice) Perkins; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his grandmothers: Martha (David) Brokaw and Carolyn Perkins.

 A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Ave. Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Michael Matiscik officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family for a memorial visitation on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home.

 Mikey was born in Munster IN on July 10, 1983; he grew up in Hammond and attended Hammond High. He was a truck driver, having worked at several local companies. Mikey was baptized at Christian Fellowship Church where he was attending. He was a huge sports fan and fan of the Chicago Black Hawks. He enjoyed working on cars and drawing and loved music and playing guitar. Mikey was a loving father, son, grandson, and friend who will be dearly missed.
