Rosella M. Crane, age 91, of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 16, 2016.
Rosella is survived by her children: Dannielle (Edward) Roszkowski, Dennis Crane, Jeff (Louise) Crane and Karen (Raymond) Opperman; grandchildren: Annette (Joseph) Coates, Raymond (Crystal) Opperman III, Andrew Roszkowski and Jerry Opperman; great grandchildren: Abigail and Rebecca Coates; sisters in law, Leona and Marion LeJeune; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Donald L. Crane; son, Donald L. Crane Jr., parents, Joseph and Clara LeJeune; brothers, Harold and Joseph LeJeune; sister, Lillian (James) Peyton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., with a time of visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 6605 Kentucky Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Father Richard Orlinski, celebrant. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday May 18, 2016 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, (Hessville) from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
Roe was a resident of Hessville for over 65 years. She was a founding member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church where she was a member of the Golden Gems and Rosary Society. Roe had a love for sewing, caring for her birds, attending community concerts and always touched so many lives and was a true inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
