Seth Gilman Ivanov, age 18, of Merrillville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 19, 2016.
Seth is survived by his loving family; his mother, Tracy Lynn; Siblings: Joshua, Shawn, Autumn, Pete, Jr. and Jackie; Grandparents: Therese Gyure, Diane (Paul) Chilcott; great grandparents, Lawrence (Elsie) Ivanov; aunt, Kelly; uncles: George and Ethan; many cousins, great aunts, great uncles and friends.

Preceded in death by his father, Peter Louis Ivanov; grandfather, Douglas Gilman Gyure; great grandparents:

John (Agatha) Spindler, Delores Keister Gyure; uncles:

Jeffrey Gilman Gyure, Gordon Chilcott; great uncle, Anthony “Tony” Spindler; great aunt, Gayle Dado.

Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, with Pastor Orlando Soler officiating. 

Seth was born in Hammond and was a student at Merrillville High School. Seth wrestled at Taft Middle School and won first place in the Wrestling Invitational Championship and played football. He enjoyed sports, 4-wheelers, and spending time with his brothers, friends, cousins and extended family, who meant the world to him. Seth was a compassionate, caring, kind-hearted young man with a charismatic personality. He would always greet you with a smile and would say, “Hi, how is your day?” Our world will be a sad place without him and he will be dearly missed by all.
