Thomas Kolwicz, age 63, of Hammond passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at his sister’s home surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his mother, Lillian (Wozniak) Kolwicz; siblings: Audrey (Phil) Nash, Jeff (late, Marge) Kolwicz, Larry (Kathy) Kolwicz; nieces and nephews: Brian (Tara) Daly, Christopher (Barb) Daly, Jennifer (Brad) Melsa, Christen Nash, Corey (Katie Springer) Nash, Aimee (Bob) Schallenkamp, Kevin (Shalena) Boesch, Michael (Akiko) Miller, Taylor Miller; numerous great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by his father, Walter Kolwicz; sister, Cynthia and Phil Daly.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, August 15, 2016 for a time of visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Cremation will be private.

Tom was a lifelong resident of Hammond. He was a 1971 graduate of Morton High School and President of his senior class. He was employed as an engineer for the IHB Rail Road. Tom was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and a member of the Corvette Club. He loved to travel and was a licensed scuba diver. Tom enjoyed his R.V. and playing his guitar. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
