Willette "Willie" Marie Chavez, age 77 of Hammond passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 21, 2010 surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her 3 daughters: Lynn (Donald R.) Smith of Hobart
Lorie (Tim Engelmen) Chavez of Hammond
Valarie (John Tummond) Chavez of Portage
2 sons: Robert (Danette) Raganyi of Antigo, WI
Keith (Cindy) Raganyi of Jackson, MO
12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren

A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Willette Marie Chavez will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of remembrance on Saturday from 2 until 4PM.
Willie was a lifetime resident of the Calumet Area.She retired in 1991 after bartending for 45 years. She enjoyed life and being with people. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary #3117. Willie was devoted to her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
