Agnes was born in Pocahontas County WV moved with her family to Gary so her father could work in the steel mills. Agnes worked at a hosiery factory in Gary during the depression. She met and married Fred and they made their home in the Hessville section of Hammond. They were blessed with one son, Freddy. In her later years she was assisted by some wonderful caregivers especially, Barbara and Maria. In 2013 Agnes moved to Munster Med-Inn; and most recently was assisted by the wonderful staff at Great Lakes Caring. Her last wish was to make it to her 100th birthday. She fulfilled that wish on September 15th with a party celebrated by many. Rest in Peace Nana! In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Agnes’s memory to Great Lakes Caring, 2515 N. Bendix Dr., Ste 103, South Bend, IN 46628
