Robert James Lindsey, age 45, of Hammond, passed away suddenly after a tragic auto accident on Sunday, June 25, 2017.
He is survived by four children: Courtney (Amber) Scott, Kyle Smith, Madison Edmaiston and Roel Lindsey; Adam Thomson whom he loved as a son; eleven siblings: Twila Lindsey, Laci (Scott) Lindsey, Michael (Debra) Lindsey, Rick (Linda) Lindsey, Ruth Ann Wagoner, Dale (Annette) Branche, Shirley (Ronnie) Kernan, Sue (Don) Kitchel, Joe (Penny) Lindsey; sister in law: Diane Lindsey; many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Charlotte Lindsey; sister, Stephanie and brother, Leroy Lindsey.
Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Private cremation to follow.
Bobby was a lifetime resident of Hammond. He attended Hammond High School. Bobby enjoyed working with his hands and was a handyman and mechanic, who had an interest in motorcycles and “fast” cars. Bobby had a special love for all his daughters, but being with Roel was his world. He was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed.
