Arman Dean Dickinson, age 81, of Hammond, entered into eternal life on Thursday, January 8, 2015.
He is survived by one daughter, Pamela (Jerry) Slaven; two grandchildren: Steven (Natalie) Slaven and Sherry Klut; 8 great grandchildren: Brittany , Nicole, Josh, Jason, Savannah, Sierra, Tristan and Chase;

God daughter, Kristi (John) Rogers;

one brother, Duane "Dick" (Clair) Dickinson; Many nieces, nephews and good friends. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 36 years, Barbara D. Dickinson; great granddaughter, Haley Nevaeh; parents, Gerald and Irma Dickinson.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Joseph J. Anweiler officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Dean was a lifetime resident of the Calumet Area. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having been stationed in Okinawa for 4 years during the Korean Conflict; he served in the special weapons division with the 305 ^th A&E Maintenance Squadron and the 305 ^th Bombardment Wing. Dean was a member of American Legion Post 369, and life member of Elks Lodge 485, the Classic Thunderbird Club C.T.C.I. #2588 and Senior Judge for Midwest Corvette Chevy.  Dean was Union Stewart of Teamsters Local #142 for over 28 years and vice president and secretary of Local #142 Retirees club. He loved to fish and enjoyed "tinkering" in the garage and spending time with his grandchildren.
