Albert Robert Ando, age 89, of Hessville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 17, 2018.

He is survived by two daughters: Darlene J. Waite and Lucille A. Schuster; six grandchildren: Tobias Depew, Sandy (Chris) Tyssen, Adam Depew, Ryan Depew, Rob (Shelly) Waite Jr., Lisa (Jan) Dalichow; eight great grandchildren: Hannah, Emily and Mackenzie Tyssen, Gabrielle, Emeline and Alexandra Dalichow and Steven and Josephine Waite; one brother, Eddie (late Shirley) Ando and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Josephine E.N. Ando; two sons: Robert "Corkey" Ando and Steven Ando; parents: Steve and Ethel Ando.

Friends are invited to meet with the family for visitation on Saturday, June 23rd from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, (Hessville). Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Phil Humber, officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond.

Bob was born in East Chicago, IN, was a graduate of Hammond Tech High School. Albert and his wife Josephine owned and operated the Country Images Candy Store in Hessville from 1980 until 2011 where they brought much joy to many children.
