Alexander Salinas was born November 5, 1962, to Maria Luisa and Alfonso Salinas at St. Catherines Hospital in East Chicago, Indiana. He passed away January 10,2026 after a short battle with liver cancer. He is preceded in death by his father Alfonso Salinas who died March 30, 2025 at the age of 84 and his mother Maria Garnica in 1984. He is survived by his six siblings as well as his beloved nieces and nephews.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Friends are invited to meet with the family for visitation on Thursday. January 15, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, IN 46323. Private cremation will follow.

Alex was a child at heart. A hard worker he often found jobs cooking and landscaping. He loved all music especially his freestyle and watching the three stooges. He will be remembered for his kind heart and funny personality. He loved animals especially dogs. He loved the Chicago Bears and was the life of the party known as the dancer at all his family gatherings. He will be deeply missed. We love you, Alex. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
