Ana Galovic Filby, age 66, of Valparaiso, entered into eternal life on Monday, February 24, 2025.

She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Jim Filby; one brother, John Galovic; two sisters: Mary (late, Mato) Bicanic, Kathy (Mijo) Iveljic; dearest cousin, Linda Pfluger and cousins: Mary Luburic, Mark Galovic, Christian Pfluger and Godson & cousin, Timmy Pfluger nephews: Mark Iveljic, Mario Ivelic, and Austin Debeljak; nieces: Leah Raico and Lauren Wardwell and numerous other relatives in the U.S., Croatia, Australia and Canada.

Preceded in death by her parents, John and Zora (nee Brckovic) Galovic, brother, Mark Galovic and brother-in-law, Mato Bicanic.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Father Steve Bedenikovic officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 12:00 p.m.

Ana was born on July 27, 1958, in Croatia and moved to the United States in 1967. She was a 1977 graduate of Morton High School. She attended and was married at St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Hessville. Ana worked for Walgreens for over 30 years where she was a manager. In her free time, she enjoyed growing flowers in her garden but most of all spending time with her family and friends. The family wishes to express their grateful appreciation to her loving neighbor JoAnn Souders the many visiting nurses and aids for their compassionate care given to Ana.
