Ann M. Mierzwa, age 92, of Hessville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 1, 2012.
Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank Mierzwa in 1980.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy (late, Chester) Dominik; beloved aunt of many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews;
Special friends, Pat and Dennis Williams and David Kosakowski.
Preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Hattie Piwowarczyk; sisters: Michaeline Ledwon, Vicky Kolbert, Helen Mackowiak, Catherine Desatnick and Sophie Pataky and one brother, Edward Dobrowolski.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 with prayers at 10:30 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Followed by a
A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 6605 Kentucky Avenue, Hammond (Hessville), with Father Larry Kew celebrant.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, August 5th at Bocken Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Ann was a lifetime resident of the Calumet Area.  She had been a longtime faithful parishioner of St.Catherine of Siena Church. Ann was a very thoughtful and loving sister, aunt and a dear friend to many. Memorials may be made in favor of St. Catherine of Siena Church. She enjoyed listening to her polka music on Sunday.
