Arthur Alan Hart, age 78 of Warren passed away peacefully into eternal rest on October 13, 2011 at White Oak Manor in Warren. He was born on February 27, 1933 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Arthur and Bethel Irene (Bruce) Hart. He married his first wife, Charlotte Hills on July 18, 1955 and she passed away after 30 years of marriage on Jan. 3, 1986. He married his second wife, Joyce S. Western on July 11, 1987 and she survives him. Arthur moved to Warren in 2010 formerly of Griffith, Indiana. He worked as a salesman at Root Brothers Hardware Store in Chicago, IL for 26 years retiring in 2010. Arthur served his country faithfully in the US Army during the Korean War. He was an avid model car collector, loved to travel, going to car shows, and he liked to watch the Chicago White Soxs play baseball. Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Charlotte, 1 sister Nancy Marnell, and 1 brother Donald Hart.
Memories of Arthur will be carried on by his loving family: his wife Joyce S. Hart of Warren,: 1 daughter: Charlene & Gary Neace of Hammond, IN: 1 son: Christopher Hart of Hammond, IN: 1 step-daughter: Shirley & Daniel Morris of Leavittsburg, OH: 2 step-sons: Nicholas & Kim Veltri of Chester, NY: Randall & Marz Veltri of Stuttgart, Germany: 1 sister Sandra Halicky of South Holland, IL: 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Directly at The Immanuel Bethel United Church of Christ 14540 Lincoln Avenue, Dolton, IL at 10am on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 with Pastor Raymond Bell officiating. The family will have one hour of viewing prior to the service. Arthur will be laid to rest beside his first wife, Charlotte at Cedar Park Cemetery in Chicago, IL. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday October 18, 2011 from 6-9pm at the Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville).
