Barbara V. Kowalski, age 87, of Schererville, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, October 14, 2015.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Keri Kotsonis with whom she made her home, Donna (Paul) Banas and Barbara Williamson; 3 grandchildren: Andrea Reed, Jordanne Banas, Dylan Koenigsaecker; one great grandchild, Neala Woodson; extended family and beloved friends.    Preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Kowalski; parents, Frank and Barbara Keri; grandson, Eric J. Reed. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with father Charles Mosley officiating. Burial will follow at St John Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Sunday October 18, 2015 from 5-8 pm.

Barbara was born in East Chicago, IN on December 2, 1927. She was retired from the Indiana Toll Road where she was a Toll Attendant.  Barbara was a beautiful, gentle, kind and sweet woman who loved birds, flowers and nature.
