Barbara Ropac, age 92, of Hammond, entered into the gates of Heaven on Friday, January 9, 2015.

She is survived by her loving son: Paul E. (Karen) Ropac Jr.;

2 Grandsons: Tony (Sheila) Ropac and Kyle Ropac; one great granddaughter; Ava; 3 step great grandchildren: Jackie, Julie and Marty; many nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years Paul E. Ropac Sr.; Parents, Vid and Mary Polovich; 4 sisters: Mary, Kay, Helen and Anne.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Father Charles Mosley officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Bocken Funeral Home 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.

Barbara was a longtime resident of the Hessville section of Hammond. She attended Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Barbara enjoyed being a homemaker, caring for others and her family. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
