Beryl Young, age 84, of Highland, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 4, 2020.

She is survived her six children: James (Sheila) Booker, Brenda Wheatman, Linda Infante, Marty Booker, Steve (Christy) Young and Brian (Jolynn) Young; Twenty-four grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous extended family members in Flint Wales, England.

Preceded in death by her husband Cecil Young; Parents: James and Ethel Lewis; brother, Ronnie (Gwen) Lewis.

A funeral service for Beryl Young will be held at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, IN 46323 on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 12 noon with Dan Nichols, Minister officiating. Sadly, due to Covid-19 restrictions no more than 25 people may be in attendance. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond.

Beryl was born in Flint Wales, England but was a longtime resident of Northwest, Indiana. She loved to have fun and to dance. She also really enjoyed her tea's. She worked at Woodmar Childcare Development Center and loved to take care of children, especially her own children and grandchildren. Playing bingo was one of her favorite things to do. Beryl was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the cancer or dementia research.
