Betty Marie Hilliard, 91, of Highland, entered into the gates of heaven on Sunday, January 26, 2014.
She is survived by her son, Ron (Maryann) Hilliard;
3 Grandchildren: David Hilliard,
Audra (Curt) Augustin, Jonathan (Stephanie) Hilliard;
5 great grandchildren: Rhiannon, Michael, Emma, Jacob and Ethan;
one sister, Norma Lewis, several nieces and dear friends.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Byford L. Hilliard and parents, Roy and Mary Britton.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, January 30, 2014 for a time of visitation at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Committal Service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. directly at Memory Lane Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 6305 W. Lincoln Hwy, Crown Point with Pastor Don Rector officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery.
Betty was born and raised in Mt. Vernon, IL and moved to the Calumet Area in 1958. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Highland. Betty was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed.
