Betty Jean Clark, age 88, of Hammond, IN passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in Cincinnati, OH.

She is survived by one Son, John (Janet) Clark of Milford, OH, 4 grandchildren, Lisa (Brian) O 'Brien of Highland, IN, Sheryl (Mark) Kozy of Munster, IN, Brent (Julie) Clark of Waynesville, OH, Staci (Dan)Meyer of West Chester, OH, 10 great grand children: Natalie, Nina, Tim, Trenton, Tanner, Lauren, Mitchell, Denham, Matthew and Elizabeth and one brother, William Carley of Peoria, Illinois.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband Orville D. Clark, parents, Samuel F. and Mildred Carley and Daughter Gaye L. Gruhler.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at the Bocken Funeral Home , 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, (Hessville),IN on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM. With Rev. Eric Kleinschmidt officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Bocken funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Betty was born in Hammond, IN on August 22, 1925; she was a graduate of Hammond High School and went on to marry the love of her life Orville D. Clark in 1944.

Betty held several different administrative positions and retired from the Vail Rubber Company. She was a beloved member of the community and donated her time frequently to those less fortunate. In her later years, moved to the Cincinnati area, resided at the New England Club, was a member of the Red Hatter's Club and was voted Queen of her Chapter for several years.
