Betty Ann Hodge, age 87, of Valparaiso, formerly of Munster and Hammond, entered into the gates of heaven on Tuesday, March 25, 2014.

Survived by 2 sons: Raymond P. (Marsha) Hodge and

William W. Hodge;

2 grandchildren: Steven (Julie) Hodge and Jana Thames

2 great grandchildren;

1 brother, Lloyd Sloan;

several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, William R. Hodge and parents, Lloyd and Myrtle Sloan.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Dr. Roy Moffitt officiating.

Burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Crown Point.

Friends are invited to meet with the family at Bocken Funeral Home on Monday morning, March 31 ^st

from11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Betty was born and raised in Charlotte, NC and lived in the Calumet Area since 1946. She was a beautician and owner of Bettie's Boutique in Hammond for over 35 years. Betty was a faithful longtime member of First Baptist Church in Hammond and served for many years in the Blind Dept., Candle of the Lord Phoster Club and West Africa Missionary Circle. She was a wonderful Christian woman who dearly loved her Lord and her church. Betty dearly loved her family; she was a sweet and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her
