Billie Sue Blue, age 64 of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 2, 2011.

She is survived by her husband; Charles E. Blue

one daughter; Candy Umbarger

7 grandchildren: Kayleigh Blue, Dylan and Amber Apgar, David Umbarger, III, Alexandria and Hannah Umbarger

1 great grandson; Noah Crachy

1 sister; Linda McNeil

2 brothers: Bobby (Shirley) Burgess and Ed (Peggy) Burgess

Preceded in death by her daughter; Tina Apgar, parents; Bernard and Frances Burgess, sister; Norma Lee Withrow brother; Dudley Burgess and brother-in-law; Joe McNeil

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home,

7042 Kennedy Avenue , Hammond (Hessville) with

Pastor Jim Goettel officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn/Mount Mercy Cemetery in Gary. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, January 6 ^th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Sue has been a resident of Hammond since 1962. Her passion was gambling on the boats. Sue was a loving wife, mother and devoted grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandson.
