Billy Joe Shuck, age 61, of Hammond passed away after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at his residence.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Linda Shuck
( nee, Suttle);
2 daughters: Stephanie Shuck and Crystal (Noel) Bello of Chicago:
2 sons: Eric and Rodney Shuck of Chicago ;
10 grandchildren: Jessica, Heather, Eric, Christopher, Amber, Bradley and Crystal Shuck, Orlando Medina, Christian and Cristina Bello;
1 great grandchild, Isaiah Perez;
2 brothers: Pershing and Ronald Shuck;
3 sisters: Patricia Bone, Betty Cole and Judy Farley;
many nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Terra Shuck; parents, Pershing and Delaphine Shuck and one sister, Bonnie Harrah.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville).  Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, February 17th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home.
Billy will be buried at a later date in West Virginia.
Billy was born on January 2, 1951 in West Virginia and has lived in the Chicagoland area for over 30 years. He was a member of the Laborers Union and worked underground construction in the Chicago Deep Tunnel Project for over 30 years. Billy loved working on cars and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and will be dearly missed.
