Carlene T. May, age 82, of Hammond, entered into the gates of Heaven on Sunday, December 28, 2014.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Elmo H. May, two sons: Carl (Dianne) May and David (Sharon) May; 3 Grandsons: Nathan (Shoba), Adam (Jessica), and Brian (Nicole) May; nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.

Preceded in death by her Parents, Carl and Theresa Schulze and 2 brothers: Donald and Carl Schulze.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Bocken Funeral Home 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Carlene was a longtime resident of Hessville before moving to Hebron 18 years ago. She attended St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church with her sons. Carlene enjoyed crafting and bowling with her Kenwood bowling alley team.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and beloved friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
