Catherine V. Manigrasso, age 87 of Hammond, entered into the gates of heaven on Wednesday September 28, 2016.

She is survived by her two children: David (Terri) Manigrasso, Elaine (Charles) McElroy;

two granddaughters: Dawn (Joshua) Halon, Kelli (fiancée Joseph Gianotti) Manigrasso; one great granddaughter, Abigail Halon;

sister, Lucille (late, Richard) Dikun; several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Anthony Manigrasso; brother, Albert G. (Mary) Lukoshus; parents, Albert and Lucille Lukoshus.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville with

Chaplain Frank Klobucar officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Lane Memorial Park in Crown Point.

Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Friday morning, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Bocken Funeral Home.

Catherine has been a resident of Hammond for over 85 years, and a longtime member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. She had worked as a Laboratory Secretary for St. Margaret Hospital in Hammond for over 25 years. Catherine was an avid reader and she had loved to travel with her dear husband. She will be remembered as a devoted Christian, a hard worker and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed.
