Cecilia "Cha-Cha" Garza

Cecilia Garza, age 49, of Hammond, IN entered into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, August 24, 2024.

She is survived by her six children: Israel Garza, Cyleina (Juan) Ortega, Megan Rivera, Nestor (Khim) Rivera, Adrian Rivera and Jada'e Rivera; six grandchildren: Luna Garza, Israel Garza Jr., Catalina Garza, Sofia Ortega, Cruz Ortega and Alia Rivera; mother, Olivia F. Garza; siblings: Cynthia (Jose Angel) Rangel, Christella Garza, Florencio (Jeannine) Garza Jr., Francisca (Ernesto) Huizar; as well as many many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends

Preceded in death by her father Florencio Garza Sr.

Family and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Wednesday, September 4th from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a celebration service at 6:00 p.m.  officiated by Pastor Joey Miranda. Burial will take place on Thursday, September 5th at 10:00 a.m. from church to Concordia Cemetery in Hammond. Visitation and services will be held DIRECTLY at Northgate Church, 2820-165th Street, Hammond, Indiana 46323. Bocken Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.

Cecilia was a life long resident of Hammond where she attended Hammond High School. She enjoyed worship services as a member of Northgate Church. Cha-Cha loved baking and other activities with her grandchildren. She deeply loved her family and dearly missed her father.
