Charles E. Barnes, age 54, of Crete, IL, entered into eternal life on Saturday, March 12, 2016.

Preceded in death by his father, James Barnes and his brother, David Barnes.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Barnes;

Son, Mark Barnes; daughter, Melissa Jorgensen; granddaughters: Alexandria and Mackenzie; one grandson, Jaxson; mother, Estene Barnes; brother, Jim (Jeanene) Barnes; sisters: Paula Knepple, Sharon Cannata and Debbie Victor; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Charles was a loving husband and dad, who had a sensitive and kind soul. He loved country music, camping and his dog, "Cocoa".

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. directly at Griffith Church of God, 630 N. Jay Avenue, Griffith, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family prior to the service from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital or the Humane Society.
