Charles W. Faught, age 77, of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2011.
He is survived by his loving companion Wanda Brown,
2 Sons; Rick (Laurie) Faught of Coloma, WI and Ed (Christy) Faught of Mt. Sterling, KY.
1 Daughter Karen (Bob) Smiley of Winfield, IN
5 Grandchildren Bobby, Amber, Sean, Jennifer and Jason.
2 Sisters; Shirley Roberts and Paula Washington 1 Brother Claude "Butch" (Trudy) Faught
Numerous Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, family and friends.
Preceded in death by 1 Son Charles W. Faught Jr. 1 Sister Laura Flowers, Parents Francis and Leona Faught
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 17,2011 at 2pm from Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville),with Dan Nichols Minister officiating. Private cremation with burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond to follow. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday August 16, 2011 at the Bocken Funeral Home, from 4pm until 8pm..
Chuck was a long time resident of the region, attended Hammond Tech High School and was a Truck Driver for over 42 years. He drove for Scott Ladd Foods for over 20 years where he was known as Slim. Chuck was a member of Hessville First Christian Church, Teamsters Local 705 and 142. He was a fan of the Cardinals and country music. He enjoyed collecting Budweiser memorabilia and serving at Moose Lodge 570 in Hammond, where he has been a member for over 50 years and was past Governor among numerous other offices. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be dearly missed.
