Charlotte Howell Anderson, age 93, of Dyer, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 20, 2013.
She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Clayton W. Anderson.
2 children: Virginia (Lutz) Hentschel and Frederick (Janice) Howell. Five grandchildren Amy (John) O'Callaghan, Jill (Frank) Cesarone, Benjamin (Patricia) Howell, Rebecca (Ryan) Luther and Thomas (Michelle) Howell. Nine great-grandchildren.  Step daughter Barbara (Ronald) Wolenty and step grandson Edward Wolenty.
Numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
Preceded in death by her first husband Thomas Howell, her parents and one sister Elvera and one brother Frederick.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home with Pastor James Thomson officiating.
Burial to follow at Ridgelawn-Mt. Mercy Cemetery in Gary.
Charlotte has been a lifetime resident of the region and a faithful member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hammond. Charlotte was a retired nurse having worked many years at St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago. She enjoyed painting with oils and traveling the world with her husband. She has visited Hong Kong, China and honeymooned in London.
Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
