Cheri Kay Rumsey, age 68, originally of Hammond passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning January 9, 2024.

She is survived by her two sisters: Suzette (Chuck) Sterba and Bonnie (Jeff) Towne; and her son, Shawn Holstein; also, nieces, nephews, and grandsons.

Preceded in death by her husband Vernon Rumsey and parents, William, and Ruth Mattingly.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Life Point Church 7350 Kennedy Avenue with Pastor Orlando Soler officiating.

Cheri was a member and grew up in Life Point Church in Hammond formerly known as Hessville Assembly of God. She graduated from Morton High School and lived in the Hessville area of Hammond most of her life.
