Cheryl Lynn Farris, age 62 of Hammond, entered the gates of Heaven on Monday, September 5, 2011.

She is survived by her loving sister, Cynthia Nagel;

2 nieces, Holly Campbell and Jennifer Campbell;

many cousins and a host of dear friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Margaret Farris.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. directly at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7227 Hohman Avenue, Hammond, IN

with Pastor Arthur Burkman officiating. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, September 9th at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond/Hessville from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Cheryl was a lifetime resident of the Calumet Area and was employed at Maria's Hallmark in Munster. She was a 1966 graduate of Gavit High School and graduated from Indiana University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science Degree, and was a member and loyal supporter of the I.U. Alumni Association. Cheryl loved gardening and spending time outdoors. She was a devoted sister, aunt and a dear friend to many.
