Colleen Johnston, age 90, of Hammond was escorted by angels to her heavenly home on Sunday, July 30, 2017.

She is survived by two brothers: Wayne (Jean) Johnston and Wally (Donna) Johnston;  brother in-law Jack Spoerner, sister in-law Kay Johnston; several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Vera Johnston; five brothers and three sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with viewing from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in the Johnston family plot.

Colleen was a lifetime resident of Hammond. She was a graduate of Hammond Tech High School. Colleen was a secretary who worked for E.C. Minas Co. and W.T. Grant.
