Conrad A. Sierzega, age 80, of Hammond passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 10, 2016.
He is survived by his two sons: Robert and Steven Sierzega; two granddaughters: Haley and Stephanie Sierzega; numerous nieces, nephews, In-Laws and friends.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife Marie Sierzega; parents: Stephen and Helen Sierzega; brother, Richard Sierzega.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, directly at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 7137 Arizona Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with viewing from 9:30 a.m. until the mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. with Father Charles Mosley celebrant. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family for visitation on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Ave. Hammond, (Hessville) from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Conrad was born in Hammond in 1935. He served in the United States Army and was a member and past commander of the American Legion Post 232. Conrad was retired from the Indiana Harbor Belt Rail Road. Conrad enjoyed fishing and watching all sports. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. In lieu of flowers memorials to your favorite charity would be preferred.
