Constance Gail Sudlak, age 70, of Hammond passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2015 while surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Ronald M. Sudlak, 3 loving daughters; Jennifer (Greg) Sudicky, Amy (Ron) Ormes , Melissa (Rob) Musgraves; 9 grandchildren: Jamie (Andy Liesenfelt) Pittman, Melanie (Jordan Livengood) Pittman, Kyle Pittman, Ronnie Ormes, Garrett (Kayla Crider) Sudicky, Paige Sudicky, Molly Musgraves, Lilly and Robbie Musgraves; great granddaughter; Violet Livengood; 6 siblings: Arnold (Jane) Fentress Jr., David (Gloria) Fentress, Judith Fentress Walters, Brenda (Billy) Hall, Blaine (Robin) Fentress, Mary (Jimmy) Macks, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Arnold and Christine Fentress and granddaughter Shelby Ormes.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 7132 Arizona Ave., Hammond with Father Charles Mosley celebrant. Burial will follow at St. John-St Joseph Cemetery in Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, (Hessville) on Thursday May 28, 2015 from 2:00-8:00 p.m.
Connie was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on February 15, 1945 and grew up in Hammond. She is a graduate of Hammond Tech High School class of 1963. Connie was employed as a secretary for School City of Hammond for 25 years before retiring. She was a long time faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church where she taught CCD for many years. She enjoyed reading but most of all spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.
