Daniel John Kiral, age 64 of Hammond, peacefully entered into eternal life on Saturday July 20, 2013 after a long illness.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 9 years, Lora A. Kiral (Nee Wronka);
Two children; Jessica (Greg) Ilic and Julie (Patrick) Lelek  Four grandchildren; Keegan Kiral, Lily Maravilla, Chloe Williams and Ethan Ilic. Mother Marcella Kiral
Four siblings; Kenny (Karen) Kiral, Jeffrey (Dana) Kiral, Tom Kiral and Christine Kiral. Numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
Preceded in death by his father John Kiral.
Danny was a lifetime resident of the region. A 1966 graduate of Morton High School. He was proud to have served in the Air Force in Vietnam. He then went on to work as a Letter Carrier for 37 years until his retirement in 2003. He loved his retirement and his Strohs. Danny loved spending time at his home in Sturgis, MI. where he always made sure everyone that came up had a great time. He enjoyed reading, nature, fishing, bird watching and was a fan of the Chicago White Sox. Danny was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a warm and compassionate person with a great sense of humor. The family would like to thank Dr. Jano as well as the Community Hospital and Hospice of the Calumet for their wonderful care. In accordance with Danny's wishes there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at www.lls.org.
