Daniel David Moore age 59 of Hammond, passed away suddenly on Monday April 11, 2016. He is survived by his sister in-law, Maria Moore; brother, Michael (Donna) Moore; brother in-law, Richard Kennedy; brothers: Richard , John (Karen), Pete (Connie) and Phil (Margie) Moore; many nieces and nephews  whom he adored and a host of dear friends.

Preceded in death by his parents: Miles and Josephine Moore; brother, Ron Moore and sister, Mary Lou Kennedy.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Father Richard Orlinski officiating.

Burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery will be private. Friends are invited to meet with the family at Bocken Funeral Home on Friday April 15, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Daniel was born and raised in Hammond, and was a 1975 graduate of Hammond Tech High School. He was retired from ArcelorMittal Steel after 30 years of service, where he was a mechanic. Daniel was affectionately known as "Uncle Diggums" by those children he coached. He enjoyed fishing, coaching baseball and watching his nieces and nephews, who were the center of his life, go on to coach others. He was a loving brother, uncle and lifelong friend to many and will be deeply missed. Memorials to your favorite charity would be appreciated.
