Danny Lee Adkins, age 65, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.

He is survived by his beloved son, Ryan (Kimberly) Adkins; grandchildren: Alyssa and Madison Adkins; sister, Sheila Adkins; brother, James (Helen) Adkins as well as numerous nieces and nephews and his wife, Michelle Adkins; step children Anita and Rachel.

Preceded in death by his parents; Rex and Donna Adkins

Friends are invited to meet with the family for a memorial visitation on Saturday, April 13th from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, (Hessville) IN.

Danny was born on November 1, 1953. He worked at the LTV steel company for 30 years before he retired. Danny was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his sons and grandchildren at his cabin on the Iroquois River. He was also a very skilled mechanic with the ability to manufacture his owns parts and repair just about anything. His fascination with space exploration and the universe could generate a conversation for hours. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
