Darlene Camp, 80, of Hammond, entered her heavenly home on Friday, October 18, 2013.
She is survived by her 4 children: Dennis Camp,
Donald (Diane) Camp,
Debbie (Richard) Berwanger and Dora (Rudy) Vela;
5 grandchildren: Amanda, Stephanie, Michael, Keith and Daniel;
5 great grandchildren;
1 brother, Dwight Hedrick;
Several nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Novan L. Camp; parents, Harvey and Edith Hedrick.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 21,2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor David Kiesling officiating. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family at Bocken Funeral Home on Sunday, October 20th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Darlene was born on June 27, 1933 in Hammond and was a 1951 graduate of Hammond Tech High School. She attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hammond. Darlene worked for over 25 years at Community Hospital in Munster as Supervisor in the housekeeping dept. Her grandchildren affectionately called her "Momo". Darlene was a loving mother a devoted grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed be with her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorials may be given to the family in lieu of flowers.
