David A. Patten, age 68, of Hammond was welcomed into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Nancy Ellen Patten (nee Squire); half-brother, Richard Cox; numerous nieces and nephews, including Eric Squire.

Preceded in death by his parents, Dorman and Mary Ann Patten.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, September 3, 2022, directly at the First Christian Church of Hessville, 6733 Alabama Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.  Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Dan Nichols, minister officiating. Private cremation will follow.

David was a long-time resident of the Calumet Region, living in Gary before moving to Hammond 18 years ago., He worked at the Calumet Brewery for 7 years before retiring as a custodian. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Hessville for the past 18 years.  David met the love of his life Nancy during their time at TradeWinds. He enjoyed do Jigsaw Puzzles and watching the Chicago White Sox's and Bulls when they were winning.
