David R. Pry, age 59, of Hammond,  passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his children: David K. Pry of Hammond, and Samantha (Kyle) Stiles of Plymouth, IN; his grandchildren: Presley, Harley and KJ; his companion and best friend, David Smith and many family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, David S. and Grace L. Pry and his beloved dog, Isabelle.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Friday, January 29, 2021  from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) IN 46323. Funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Chris Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. Face mask and social distancing guidelines are required.

Dave was born and raised in Hammond, he attended Morton High School. Dave  was an auto mechanic and has worked at numerous shops in the area. He enjoyed racing cars at Illiana Motor Speedway, watching Gunsmoke, Andy Griffith, and NASCAR, and spending time with his family and friends. Dave will be forever remembered for his humor and self-will. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed.
