Delois Ann Elms "Lois", age 68, of Hobart, was called home to be with her heavenly father on Sunday October 30,2011 while surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by 2 sisters Freda (Billy) McCugh of Hobart, and Linda Elms of Hobart. Sister in law Phyllis Elms of Hessville. Numerous loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents Essie and Charlotte Elms, 2 brothers Randolph and Ronnie Elms.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday November 1, 2011 at 7pm DIRECTLY  at the Zion Holiness Church  707  - 169th street, Hammond  with Pastors W.D. and Richard Westmoreland  officiating. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, KY. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday November 1, 2011 from 2pm til 7pm directly at the Zion Holiness Church.
Lois  was born and raised in Hartford, Kentucky and moved to the Hammond area in 1958. She was a devoted and active member of the Zion Holiness Church for over 42 years where she enjoyed serving in many areas including as children's Sunday School teacher. Lois enjoyed cooking, baking , traveling and she loved to sing in church. She was retired from the Munster School System where she worked at Frank Hammond School for 33 years as a custodian. Lois will be remembered as a very faithful woman, whose Church and family were  her number one priority. Lois will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
