Dewey Dean Cain, age 69, of Hammond passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 10, 2017.
He is survived by four children: David (Tammy) Cain, Deena (Dean) Rams, Tammy (David) Bartock,

Christine (Philip) Stone; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren; former wife, Deborah Cain-Kury.

Preceded in death by his parents: Albert and Sarah Cain; two brothers: Jack and Mark Cain.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor James Utley officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Thursday, September 14th from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Dewey was born on January 15, 1948 in Watseka, Il and  has lived in Hammond for most of his life. He worked for the B&OCT Railroad as a Conductor for over 10 years. Dewey enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping and carpentry. Dewey was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather and good friend to many who loved spending time with his family.
