Dolores Bobos, age 82, of Hessville passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2012.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph;
her parents, Barney and Victoria Walczak; brother, Bruno and sister, Barbara Ellis.
She is survived by three children: Robert (Mary Kay) Bobos of Crown Point, Deborah (Pete) Kikalos of Ft. Wayne and Kenneth (Susan) Bobos of Munster;
seven loving grandchildren; Kevin (Charity) Bobos of Florida, Jeremy (Stacie) Bobos of Wisconsin,
Stephen (Karen) Bobos of Chicago,
Amanda (Mark) Krieg of Michigan,
Elizabeth Bobos of Indianapolis
Richard (Adrienne) Bobos of Chicago and
Kyle (Megan) Bobos of Texas;
11 beautiful great grandchildren: Jordyn, Finn, Kole, Isabelle, Emerson, Ella, Canon, Wyatt, Seth, Jenna Rose and Isidora; her dear aunt, Lillian Younger and many loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church,, 7132 Arizona Avenue, Hammond (Hessville), with Rev. Charles Mosley celebrant. Burial to follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Hammond.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, February 22nd from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) and also Thursday morning at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the mass at 10:00 a.m. Prayers will offered at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Dolores was a 1946 graduate of East Chicago Washington High School. She was formerly employed at Purdue University- Calumet, Sheffield Press and retired from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Pastoral Center as a secretary in 1991. For many years she also worked as a volunteer at St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago. Dolores has been a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church since 1952 and longtime member and former treasurer of the Ladies Rosary Society. Dolores was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, niece and a dear friend to many. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church or the Share Foundation, P.O. Box 400, Rolling Prairie, IN 46371.
