Dolores Jane Popaditch, age 77 of Terre Haute, formerly of the Hammond-Whiting area passed away peacefully on Monday, October 29, 2012.
She is survived by her children: Lisa (David) Spudic,
Gina (Danny) Alexander,
Nick (April) Popaditch and John Popaditch;
Grandchildren: Spencer, Tyler and Tabitha Spudic,
Zoe Alexander, Richard and Nick Popaditch, Jr.;
Sister, Lorainne (late, Bill) Ciesar
Sisters-in-law, Gloria Kozlowski and Virginia Thompson;
Numerous nieces, nephews and a host of many dear friends, including the Whiting High School Alumni.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, John "Duke" Popaditch; son, David Popaditch;
parents,  Ernest and Stella Thompson; brother, Vance.
A Memorial Mass to celebrate the life of Dolores Jane Popaditch will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. John Bosco Church, 7113 Columbia Avenue, Hammond with Father Richard Orlinski celebrant. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday evening, November 2, 2012 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Dolores was born on January 14, 1935 in Whiting and was a 1952 graduate of Whiting High School. She has served for many years on the 1952 High School Class Reunion Committee with her close friends. She retired in 2003 after working for over 10 years at Indiana State University in the telecommunications office.  Her greatest love was her family, she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and a dear friend to many.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church Soup Kitchen, 5310 Hohman Avenue, Hammond, IN 46320.
