Douglas Frank Lunsford, age 52, of Merrillville, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 30, 2015 .

He is survived by his son: Jonathan (Amber) Bermingham,

5 sisters: Sandra (Mike) Smith,

Cathy (John) Serbentas, Donna (Rick) Vinyard,

Carol (Cecil) Smith, Pamela Heth;

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Preceded in death by; parents, George and Mary Lunsford; brother, Rick Lunsford.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. from Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Rev. Ron Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary.

Doug was born and raised in Hammond, he enjoyed playing on the Irving Little League Teams. As a young man and adult he enjoyed fishing with his dad, listening to classic rock music with those he loved and cheering on the Chicago Cubs, "Go Cubbies".

He was a loving brother and special best friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
