Douglas Rainford, age 59, of Hammond, IN passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

He is survived by his loving mother, Shirley H. Rainford; brother, Kenneth (Marietta) Rainford; sister, Beverly Mahony; seven nieces and nephews: Holly (Brain) Scott, Amy Mahony, Audrey Rainford, Ken Rainford Jr., Erin (Austin) Perez, George Mahony, Alex Ponce; great-nephew, Maddox Perez and great-niece, Marie Perez.

Preceded in death by his father Frederick L. Rainford; niece, Lisa Rainford; cousin, Dan Rainford.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday November 5, 2024, at 12 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond IN 46323 with Pastor John Clement officiating.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond.

Doug was a lifelong resident of Hammond, where he has attended Hammond Tech. High School. He loved to play music, especially playing his guitar. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and riding his bike.
