Edward Ray Long, age 43, of Hammond, IN passed away at his home on January 28, 2011.
He leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife Emmie (Ignowski), Son Jacob, Daughter Katherine"Bug", Mother Nancy and Two furry kids Dottie and Abbie. Brother Bruce (Lynn), Nieces Elizabeth and Jovana, Nephew Jeffrey, many aunts, uncles and cousins..
Preceded in death by his Father Dennis, Brother Jeffrey, one child, Grandparents James (Eva) Long and Virgil (Goldie) Cole, Mother in law JoAnn and father in law Gerard Ignowski.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 7pm at the Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Steve Miller officiating. Private cremation to follow. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, February 4, 2011 from 2pm-8pm. at Bocken Funeral Home.
Ed was born in Clinton, IN and raised in Hammond, he is a 1985 graduate of Morton High School. A master fisherman, Ed never met a lake, pond, waterhole or puddle he didn't like. His love of music started at the age of three, from air drumming to garage bands, Ed honed his skills and could be found at many small venues in the region banging the skins.
